Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research, its interpretation, or publication decisions. Examples include funding sources, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, patents, or close academic collaborations.

Authors must include a “Competing Interests” declaration in the manuscript. If no conflicts exist, state: “The authors declare no competing interests.”

Reviewers and editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a potential conflict may affect impartial judgement. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in rejection, correction, or retraction according to publication ethics policies.
